Abstract :
The author comments on the work of K. Mehrotra & P.R. Mahapatra (ibid. vol. 33, pp. 1094-1105, 1997) who presented the derivation of covariance matrix of initial estimation of target state vector and the plant noise in detail. In their work the simulation and simulated results seem to be erroneous. Mehrotra replies to these comments.
