Abstract
Multicarrier transmission is normally implemented by using the fast Fourier transform. However, by using the discrete cosine transform (DCT) instead, the frequency separation between subchannels can be considerably improved. The authors derive a set of sequences resulting in constant modulus (envelope) time-domain discrete signals when the DCT is used in a multicarrier system
