Abstract :
Algebraic expressions may be used to describe the analysis of digital counters with various types of feedback loops. It will be shown that such expressions may also be used to advantage in realisation procedures of the synthesis of counters. Design procedures are shown for the synthesis of counters with specified periodic sets of bases.
