Abstract :
The paper discusses the design of resistors of 100 and 1000¿ whose change in resistance with frequency is to be minimized. By using short lengths of fine wire folded so as to tend to cancel external fields, resistors have been made whose resistance change between zero frequency and lOOOOrad/s is thought to be less than 1 or 2 parts in 108. Figures are also given for the variation with frequency observed in several other types of resistor, some made in the C.S.I.R.O. laboratory, and some obtained commercially.
