The 2011 IEEE Communications Society and Information Theory Society Joint Paper Award is awarded to Matthieu Bloch, Joao Barros, Miguel R. D. Rodrigues, and Steven W. McLaughlin for the paper "Wireless information-theoretic security," which appeared in the IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, vol. 54, no. 6, pp. 2515-2534, June 2008, and to Giuseppe Caire, Nihar Jindal. Mari Kobayashi, and Niranjay Ravindran for the paper "Multiuser MIMO achievable rates with downlink training and channel state feedback," which appeared in the IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, vol. 56, no. 6, pp. 2845-2866, June 2010.
