Abstract :
A novel tunable all-optical incoherent bipolar delay-line filter scheme is proposed. It utilises the cross-intensity modulation characteristic of an injection-locked Fabry-Perot laser and the reflection characteristic of a delay line composed of a sequence of tunable fibre Bragg gratings. Bipolar transversal filters are experimentally demonstrated and their filter performance agrees well with theoretical calculation
