Abstract :
A single longitudinal mode laser has been produced using a two-dimensional-lattice distributed reflector grating. The device exhibits singlemode suppression ratios of >27 dB with a small signal bandwidth of 11 GHz and stable spectra under modulation at 10 Gbit/s.
