Abstract :
A new arbitration algorithm for achieving high performance and fairness in a virtual output queued (VOQ) input buffered switch is presented. A parallel-polled, deterministic scheduling algorithm is described with comparable performance to non-deterministic PIM and ISLIP scheduling. The PP-VOQ algorithm is scalable and multicasting can be supported
