Abstract :
By varying initial intensity and dispersion map strength, we demonstrate, by means of experiments involving the transmission of 2.57 ps pulses having a repetition rate of 87 GHz, that densely dispersion managed solitons have better transmission properties than conventional dispersion managed soliton and/or quasi-linear pulses
