Abstract :
Monolithically integrated all-optical space switches with modes of different symmetry for the data- and control-signals are realised and tested at 10 GHz. The different symmetries of the modes allow the data- and control-signals to be introduced and extracted through different ports without additional losses of the data-signal. The control-signal passes the switch undisturbed and can be reused in a cascade of switches
