Abstract :
The author discusses his experience in the telecommunications industry and what the national roadmapping efforts have told him about the probable directions in printed wiring board (PWB) manufacturing. He looks at what the customer and technology directions are, where the PWB market for telecommunications is heading, technology trends for telecom products in general and PWBs in particular, and what the national roadmaps have to say about the state of the US PWB industry
