  • Abstract
This article describes the developments of the electricity market in Northern Ireland, with emphasis on the commitment to a workable, but inexpensive, system generating minimum overheads. The focus is on the simplicity of the trading arrangements, the minimal cost of introducing these arrangements, and the criteria to be satisfied in the development of systems to meet an evolving market culture.
