Abstract :
A. Ametani comments on the paper by J.H Kim et al. (see ibid., vol.15, no.1, p.381-6, 2000). The author briefly describes his own work on overvoltage evaluation using EMTP on a 1100 kV transmission line of Tokyo Electric Power Company and asks the original authors to comment on his work and on the effect of frequency on EMTP and TNA simulation results. The original authors reply to the comments.
