Abstract
The cutoff characteristics of an asymmetrically loaded cylindrical waveguide are analyzed using the null-field method. The fields in the metallic waveguide and dielectric loading are expressed in their corresponding guided-wave modes. The addition theorem of the Bessel function is used to relate the fields across the air-dielectric boundary
