  • Abstract
    It was a pleasant ride to Dulles airport. Michel Lecours and I had just finished attending the June 1995 IEEE Regional Activities Board Meeting in Washington DC. As we enjoyed the scenic ride to the airport, I started on my traditional critique of IEEE publications. Michel, being tired of my complaining, told me to put my money where it matters and invited me to be guest editor for a special “application-oriented” issue of the IEEE Canadian Journal on Electrical and Computer Engineering.
