Abstract :
Single carrier-frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) has been selected for LTE uplink multiple access scheme since its lower peak to average power ratio (PAPR). However, continuous resource allocation and robust modulation and coding scheme (MCS) inherent constraints have to be observed when scheduling the resource blocks. This paper proposes an activity selection based uplink scheduling algorithm concerning user satisfaction and observes two SC-FDMA inherent constraints in LTE networks. We formulate the optimized frequency resource allocation as an activity selection problem, and solve the problem by using a greedy method. Results obtained through simulation show that average blocking rate can be decreased effectively when compared with round-robin, recursive maximum expansion, adaptive resource allocation and allocate as granted-robust SC-FDMA uplink scheduling schemes, and thus enhance the average satisfaction rate, average data rate and fairness index.
