  • Abstract
    The theory of singular pencils of matrices is applied to the system matrix of a linear constant system. It is shown that the zeros of the McMillan form of the transfer-function matrix can be allocated subject to mild conditions. The poles of the McMillan form of the closed-loop transfer function can be allocated similarly.
