Abstract
Matrix converter is a type of AC/AC conversion with great potential on the ongoing research and application field of power electronics. In this work, a direct matrix converter is investigated through a Simulink model with Space Vector Modulation (SVM) and the results are compared with the dynamical model of the same converter with Venturini modulation. The SVM technique is revised in a simple dq-plane and the voltage ratio results are also compared.
