Abstract :
This paper presents a new dc/ac single-phase converter. By equipping the inverter input with a resonant circuit, the switching loss in the semiconductor devices has been reduced and the electromagnetic interference problem has been rendered less severe, because the resonant voltage pulses have lower dv/dt. Moreover, due to the resonant-circuit presence, a good sinusoidal voltage is applied to the inverter load. The simulation results have proved the merits of the proposed topology and an experimental prototype has been set up on this principle to verify the theoretical results.
