Abstract :
A method of calculating the eddy currents in nonmagnetic conductors using the finite-difference technique of successive overrelaxation on a digital computer is outlined. The method is applied to the problem of eddy currents in hollow water-cooled conductors in electrical-machine slots, but it should also be immediately applicable to any 2-dimensional field compatible with the available computer capacity.
