Abstract :
With the formation of ultra high voltage AC/DC power network, the inherent characteristic of China power grid becomes increasingly complicated. Online stability assessment is one of the effective method to understand the system status in time. To improve power system stability with radical change, it is necessary to automatically identify the weak transmission sections. The paper presents the weak transmission sections fast searching and identification method, which include the fast transmission section searching and weak transmission section identification. The system is simplified by merging load area to node before searching. The section searching is based on the power-out lines and employs the subnet automatic combination technique. The weak section identification mainly concerns the influence of topology change including one line disconnection and one corridor disconnection. The north China and central China interconnected power system is used as an example to verify the application of the proposed method.
