Abstract :
Generation formulas from which the tree, port terminal-pair 2 tree, and terminal 3 tree admittance products in a cascade of arbitrary 2port networks are computed in a routine manner, without any duplications, redundancies, or cancellations of terms, are presented in the paper. The signs of the 2tree products are readily determined by a simple manoeuvre in the application of the generation technique; so the overall 2port network open-circuit impedance and short-circuit admittance matrices can be written down immediately. Algebraic complexity of the computations involved is inherently minimal. Consequently, compared with existing techniques of analysis, the method requires less time and effort, is less subject to error and is therefore more practicable.
