An omnidirectional circular antenna array

THERE IS a continuing practical need for antennas which radiate a pattern that is omnidirectional in azimuth, but which have a specified vertical pattern. Page¹ proposed that a circular array with a central element be used for this purpose, but his design requires that all of the elements of the array be driven. Here a method will be described of exciting such an array by means of only one driven element.
