Abstract
At USC´s Institute for Creative Technologies, computer scientists, US Army personnel, and entertainment professionals are developing the foundation for an experiential learning system called MRE (Mission Rehearsal Exercise). The MRE project seeks to create a virtual reality training environment in which soldiers will confront dilemmas that force them to make decisions in real time under stressful and conflicting circumstances. By allowing soldiers to see the consequences of their actions and decision-making skills in a simulator, the US Army expects to better prepare its troops for dealing with similar dilemmas in the real world
