Abstract :
This paper presents an authentication protocol using the SPEKE strong password method to address current information-security deficiencies found in most smart home automation systems. The protocol emphasizes analyzing the operation and security performances limited by practical low-cost micro-controller implementations (e.g. 8051 or 68HC11) of consumer electronic equipment and appliances
