Abstract :
In order to trace and identify the achievements of forest resources protection and development in China, the system of forest resources monitoring was built up to annually collect the forest information base on high-resolution data. The measurement analysis of forest resource was done in the 41 key counties. High-resolution SPOT5 images, RapidEye and other high-resolution remote sensing data had been handled through processes of orthorectified, image synthesis, data integration, enhancement processing, basic geographic information overlay, framing and cutting, etc., forming thematic imaging products for technical studies. The results show that there were information superiority for high-resolution satellite data in zoning interpretation and identification of forest type.
