Abstract
A boundary element method (BEM) for three dimensional linear magnetostatic field problems using the total scalar potential as unknown is presented. The method is applied to solve a problem proposed by IEEJ. The number of unknowns on the boundaries is reduced. Special corner and edge boundary elements are used to treat singularities
