  • Abstract
    A model for a circuit-breaker arc is proposed that takes into account the observed variation of arc conductivity with arc power and the random variation of arc parameters. A method of calculating the performance of multiunit circuit breakers that uses the proposed model is discussed and illustrated by an example.
