Abstract :
A methodology based on high order derivatives and finite-element analysis is proposed to solve a problem frequently encountered in the modeling of permanent magnets (PM), namely the inaccuracy of their demagnetizing curves due to manufacturing deviations among the samples. Curves supplied by manufacturers are used as starting point to the procedure, which enables an easy determination of the characteristics of the samples, as well as a reliable evaluation of the effects of these deviations
