Abstract :
GA-ASI is committed to safely integrating RPAS into civilian, domestic and international airspace; flying ADS-B in an operational environment. DAA is the biggest technical barrier to full NAS access; GA-ASI is investing money in technology, R&D and regulatory groups to work towards a solution. Collaboration with the FAA TCAS Program Office, NASA and industry partners (Honeywell and BAE Systems): seeks to inform the standards communities (RTCA SC-228 and EUROCAE WG73); proof-of-concept DAA system could lead to further research and flight testing; international harmonization and global interoperability are critical.
