Abstract :
This paper deals with parallel computation in electrical engineering. Shared memory and distributed memory architectures are presented, with their implication in the development of parallel numerical algorithms. The necessity of optimizing the parallel performances is highlighted. Both Cray C98 and Cray T3E are finally compared
