Abstract
The paper describes the model and methods used to calculate electromagnetic forces which are used to evaluate the mechanical characteristics of the stator windings in the end-region of turbogenerators. Integration methods are applied to obtain the magnetic field due to the coils and ferromagnetic bodies. The results presented compare the nodal forces with and without the ferromagnetic influence under transient conditions
