Abstract :
In this letter, a new stochastic model is proposed for the time-varying channel in mobile wireless communications. In Jakes´ model, the receiver (or transmitter) is assumed to move at a constant speed in a very short range of distance (or time). However, this assumption omits the higher order parameters of the motion and thus can not describes the time-varying channel precisely in a variable speed motion environment. To model the time-varying channel accurately in the case of variable speed motion, a novel High-Order-Motion (HOM) model is proposed in this letter to show the effects of higher order parameters on channel response. The proposed HOM model is actually an extension of Jakes´ model in a variable speed motion environment and it can describe the channel correlation more accurately.
