Abstract :
A report is presented on the parametric oscillation in LiB3 O5 pumped by a frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser under temperature-tuned type-2 noncritical phase-matching conditions. Although the conversion efficiencies were limited to less than 1% due to the short crystal length available, the data reported are encouraging. They appear to justify further study and development of this device as a narrow-linewidth, broadly tunable solid-state source
