Decently, I had the privilege of attending the 2011 IEEE Sections Congress (SC20ll), held in San Francisco, thanks to the kind invitation by Prof. Magdalena Salazar-Palma, President of IEEE AP-S. The IEEE Sections Congress is held once every three years, and is a big gathering for IEEE volunteers worldwide. It was an eye-opening experience for me, and I learned a lot from many talks I attended. In addition to keynote addresses and general sessions, there were more than 80 breakout sessions, where speakers shared information on specific topics with attendees.
