Abstract :
The paper presents a machine which utilises the force of magnetic attraction to produce rotational motion. A mechanically resonant system and commercially produced ratchet devices are incorporated in the design. An experimental machine which operates from a single-phase power source in series with a diode is described. Test results from this machine are presented and discussed. The mode of operation of the machine and basic design criteria are explained.
