Abstract :
We report the experimental demonstration of a 160-Gb/s polarization-insensitive demultiplexer based on a pulsed-pump fiber-optical parametric amplifier. Switching window and 12-dB conversion gain are measured with polarization scrambled signal. No more than 1.5-dB power penalty is achieved for 16 demultiplexed 10-Gb/s tributaries.
