Abstract :
The distortion performance of double-balanced switching-diode mixers and modulators may be optimised by suitable design of the local-oscillator circuit. The paper describes simple techniques for defining optimum drive conditions for `split-ring¿, `hybrid¿, and `star¿ modulators.
