Abstract
Modern high-speed wideband acousto-optic spectrum analysers for radar treat warning receivers invariably employ laser illumination. Here the authors propose and demonstrate a novel design of spectrum analyser which employs white light illumination, and which offers improved fidelity by reducing the levels of the acoustically-generated third-order intermodulation products, and a variety of other spurious effects
