Abstract :
The possibility of reproducing the effects on an electronic equipment of an arbitrary electromagnetic (EM) field excitation for effective EM interference susceptibility assessment is explored in this paper. To this purpose, a method to recreate the effects of a given EM field over an equipment under test by proper RF current injection on its reference conductor is derived from EM theory. The effectiveness and the practical feasibility of this approach is discussed on the basis of full-wave EM simulations and experimental results.
