Abstract :
Two new precision rectifiers, a halfwave circuit and a full wave circuit, are described. The circuitsemploy operational amplifiers to eliminate the effects of diode nonlinearity and diode-temperature dependence. The transfer characteristics of the two circuits are derived by analysis. Experimental results are also provided which show that the circuits operate accurately over a large dynamic range of input signals.
