Abstract :
Nanoantennas that could simplify polarisation division multiplexing (PDM) systems have been demonstrated by researchers at Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí. J. Simón and F.J. González have fabricated a dipole nanoantenna which shows good polarisation discrimination to two orthogonal linear polarisations, and could be used to replace the conventional semiconductor detectors commonly used in optical communication systems.
