Abstract :
Upper and lower bounds for the even- and odd-mode capacitances for the shielded-pair line are obtained in closed form using variational techniques that are applicable to inner conductors of arbitrary size and spacing. Results of computed normalised capacitances are catalogued in graphical form, together with an estimate of the error.
