Abstract :
Copyright protection of raster images and its integrity becomes one of the key problems in spatial information service due to rapid development of communication network. This paper depicts a scheme to protect copyright of raster images using wavelet transform. Third level wavelet coefficients (LL and HH) are used to embed and extract the watermark from the raster image. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has not only good transparency, strongness, large data hiding capacity and correct extraction of watermark, but also has strong robustness against JPEG lossy compression, filtering, and noise. Moreover, the classification of original and watermarked data is performed and it is observed that the proposed watermarking scheme leads to less misclassification. The proposed scheme meets all the requirements for copyright protection of raster images in an effective manner.
