Abstract :
The analytical expressions of the fields radiated in the far region from the different modes of an open-ended equilateral triangular waveguide antenna are presented. The radiated far fields are analytically computed in the spectral domain as Fourier transforms of the antenna aperture field distribution. Explicit expressions for the antenna maximum directivity and effective area are derived, and analytical expressions of the equilateral triangular waveguide modes are also reported.
