Abstract
An analysis is given for the current density distribution in a coaxial current shunt. The device is modelled using nonuniform transmission-line analogy to yield an equivalent circuit. Hence the steady-state and transient behaviour can be predicted. Bessel functions are no longer required for this type of problem.
