The magnificent Mediterranean [From the Editor´s Bench]

Recently, my family and I camped out on the beach at Beit Yannai, Israel. While standing in the waves with my children, nieces, and nephew, I looked out over the Mediterranean Sea (while keeping a close eye on the children, of course). Watching and feeling the waves, I was swept away by the power and grandeur of the sea. Feeling the strength of the waves and considering that such waves beat against coasts the world over, I could only hope that someday we engineers will find an efficient way to harness the energy in all those waves.
