Abstract :
As the author have spent most of his professional life in a mixture of telecoms and semiconductors, talking about the relevance of analog technology to these domains is a fairly obvious choice. And in doing his homework, He came to the conclusion that what happened in this area of industry was not at all easy to foresee. He think it will be valuable to make this history the theme of this article, since the insights gleaned may well be applicable to other industrial fields. Indeed, He contributed to many expensive projects that worked perfectly but were never sold, and He also saw competitors doing complicated and often stupid things that nevertheless gained market traction. In other words, what was supposed to be very relevant often was not and vice versa- and this also applies to the endless analog-versus-digital debate.
