Abstract
A new and simple procedure has been developed which allows for rapid design and component selection for the output stage of high-frequency electronic ballasts. The procedure predicts pre-heat, ignition, and running conditions based on the fluorescent lamp manufacturer´s specifications. This approach has been used to design commercial high-frequency electronic ballasts
