  • Abstract
    The summary reports on a comprehensive fuse-testing programme designed to assess the suitability of an alternative less expensive test procedure to those presently recommended in IEC standards for low-overcurrent fuse-proving tests. Statistical treatment of many circuit measurements and fulgurite quantities demonstrates the similarities between test methods and low-overcurrent arcing behaviour in fuses at 380 V, 50 Hz.
